About Lone Madrone Winery
Founded in 1996 by Neil and Marci Collins and Neil’s sister, Jackie Meisinger, Lone Madrone Winery is rooted in a deep respect for the land, community, and craft of winemaking. Neil, then the assistant winemaker at Adelaida Cellars, was inspired to create a label after working with a standout Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Carver Vineyard. This wine, deserving of its own spotlight, led to the creation of Lone Madrone, named after the single Madrone tree that overlooks the vineyard.
As Neil’s reputation grew, he was hired as the winemaker at Tablas Creek Winery, where he became a key figure in the Paso Robles winemaking community. Together with his sister Jackie, who expanded Lone Madrone’s reach by introducing the wines to local restaurants and shops, and his wife Marci, who took over financial management, the winery steadily grew.
Today, Lone Madrone remains a family-run winery committed to crafting wines that honor their vineyard sites, vintages, and growers. Our estate vineyard and most of the vineyards we source from are organically farmed, dry-farmed, and head-trained, reflecting our dedication to sustainable practices and the stewardship of the land.
Now joined by the second generation—Jordan Collins, Lucas Meisinger, and Austin Collins—our mission remains steadfast: to produce authentic wines through native fermentation and respect for the winemaking craft. Inspired by the great European wine families, we are committed to staying family-owned and ensuring Lone Madrone thrives for generations to come.
